Rabbi Piny Hackenbroch is currently the Senior Rabbi in Woodside Park Synagogue – a modern orthodox thriving community of some 1,400 members.
Rabbi Hackenbroch sits on the Rabbinical Council of the United Synagogue, is an educator for the Holocaust Educational Trust, leading trips to Auschwitz and has worked closely over a number of years with several charities and the Barnet Multi Faith Forum.
His innate love for people and his empowering brand of leadership make him a well-loved figure in Woodside Park & London.His thought provoking articles are regularly published in newspapers, journals and online. He is also a sought after speaker both in the UK and and internationally as well as appearing on BBC Radio. He read law at university and subsequently qualified and became an accredited systemic family practitioner with experience working for CAMHS and a dually qualified and practising commercial & family mediator sitting on several mediation panels.
He is married to Gila, who holds an MSc in Clinical Sociology and Family Therapy and an MA in Systemic Couples and Family Therapy. Gila has her own private practice as a family and couples psychotherapist, working as a consultant for several charities as a psychotherapist and mental health practitioner. She frequently lectures in the community about mental health in the 21st century.
